Publication
All submitted papers will go through a peer review process. All accepted papers will be included in the Qshine 2009 Conference Proceedings.
During the review process, all reviewers have to indicate whether the overall scientific quality of the paper
they reviewed entitles the paper to candidate for the Best Paper award. Among the best candidates,
the Program Chair and the General Chair select the Best Papers presented at QShine 2009.
The award is based on relevance, content, significance, originality and presentation.
Best Papers are rewarded with a Conference Best Paper Certificate.
Research papers of particular merit will be selected for consideration of fast track publication in a special issue of ACM/Springer Mobile Networks and Applications (approved).
Publish and Earn Royalties
Official conference proceedings of ICST sponsored events appear in the Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST) series jointly published by ICST and Springer. Inclusion in LNICST offers the following benefits to authors:
- Conference papers included in LNICST are distributed through an extensive global network of library consortia and appear on SpringerLink, one of the largest online scientific libraries, as well as Proceedings-ONLINE, ICST's official digital library. LNICST is reviewed by the same indexing services as Springer Lecture Notes Proceedings including DBLP, ZBlMath/CompuServe, IO-Port, EI, Scopus, INSPEC, ISI Proceedings, the Zentralblatt Math and Google Scholar. To learn more about LNICST, please visit http://www.springer.com/computer?SGWID=0-146-6-564009-0.
- ICST offers a global dissemination channel for audio and PowerPoint files of conference presentations through Conf-C@ST, the Society's online presentation portal. Conf-C@ST allows immediate access to the presentations of technical papers included in LNICST and further accelerates and expands the publication and dissemination cycle of research results. To upload audio, video and PowerPoint files of presentations, authors of accepted papers included in LNICST are requested to visit http://www.confcast.eu/.
- Extended versions of scientific papers included in LNICST can be considered for inclusion in the ICST Transactions journal series upon timely and formatting compliant submissions. For detailed information on each title of the ICST Transactions series and specific author guidelines and submission instructions, authors are requested to visit http://www.icst.org/publications/journals.
- LNICST and all ICST Publications are integrated in the Science Rewards Program that rewards participation in Society activities and provide authors royalties based on the number of registered downloads of their papers from Proceedings-ONLINE and presentations from Conf-C@ST. Publishing a conference paper in LNICST will automatically include authors in the Science Rewards Program. For more information on the Science Rewards Program and the ICST Partnership for Excellence Program, please visit http://www.icst.org/partnership.
All above described benefits of the multi-format and royalty-based dissemination channels are available only through ICST publications with ICST copyrights.
